Societies Committee

Opportunity In Brief

Teesside University Students’ Union offers a range of societies, from Medieval to Real Ale to Table Top Gaming. We have student learning communities, and common interest societies. All these societies are run by students, for students, through a committee of 3 students. Giving you the opportunity to shape how the society is run, you can stand to be elected to one of the 3 committee positions of Chair, Vice-Chair Communications, Vice-Chair Finance. If the society you are interested in does not exist visit the SU Activities in the Students' Union and we’ll help you set it up.

Benefit to you

You have a real opportunity to try ideas and develop your skills. There are opportunities to coordinate people, manage budgets and utilise marketing skills. You are trained and supported by a team of staff in the SU Activities. Throughout the academic year you are taught how to transfer the knowledge and experience you have gained into application forms, CVs and job interviews.

Who can apply
