For people with big ideas and the drive to create a new business – the Launchpad provides members with a stimulating environment, real creative spaces and the ability to meet, share and collaborate with like-minded start-up founders and gain access to some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and investors. Ideate Space A space to play, collaborate, ideate and meet. This is our informal social space, a place to breakout from a workshop, meet with team members to whiteboard out a great new project. Placement and Internship,Work Experience and Enterprise 

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships A KTP involves the formation of a partnership between a business and a UK University, enabling businesses to access academic skills and expertise required to develop innovative projects or services. A recent graduate will facilitate this transfer of knowledge. The graduate will work on a strategic project jointly supervised by a University and the business. KTPs are flexible in length from 12 months to three years depending on the nature of the knowledge transfer. Most KTP Associate posts nationally are advertised at jobs.ac.uk (search KTP Associate) Innovate Tees Valley and Innovate Durham (Graduate Internships and Knowledge Exchange Internships) Projects involve a collaboration between Teesside University and a SME business located in the Tees Valley or Durham area, enabling businesses to develop innovative processes or products with the knowledge and skills of a recent graduate. Those projects with academic support are called Knowledge Exchange Internships KEIs

Animex

Event 

Animex is the largest festival dedicated to animation and computer games in the UK. Speakers and representatives from the global animation and games community gather for a week every year to educate, inspire and entertain an audience made up of professionals, students and enthusiasts. The festival prides itself on being inclusive and a place where people meet to be educated, inspired and entertained. Using a unique blend of talks, presentations, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and awards, Animex brings the world of animation and computer games to audiences from any background and any level of expertise. Skills Development Initiative 

It is an opportunity for you to practice being interviewed for a job or course. Recorded sessions will last for up to 1 hour 20 minutes. The first 20 to 30 minutes will be the ‘interview’ when the adviser will ask you questions that are relevant to the job or course you are applying for. The rest of the time will be spent watching the recording of your interview and discussing ways to improve. The whole process is confidential; the recording will only be seen by you and the adviser. If your interview is not being recorded the session will last for 40 minutes, including 20 minutes for feedback and discussion.

Teesside Sport's performance sport section works with a number of projects which allow postgraduate students the opportunity to work with high level developing and senior athletes. These include opportunities with our FA Regional Talent Club for girls' football and with the Tees Valley Future Champions project.
