As a graduate intern you get the valuable work experience you need to kick start your career, gaining practical experience at the professional level required for your discipline. We are keen that you get the maximum benefit from an internship, so we match you with an organisation who are offering a specific project, or clear opportunity to contribute to an existing project or initiative.
You will have the opportunity to develop key skills during your placement such as client responsiveness, task management, teamwork skills, business skills, social skills and thinking skills. As well as building confidence in a work environment and developing the contacts and networks needed for successful career development.
The internships are structured around a 37-hour working week with an hourly rate of pay of £7.50 p.h. You complete a half-day induction before the internships begin and support from the University's Careers Service is available as required.
